A physics-informed ML monitoring platform for solar and battery assets — built as an auditable performance and compliance layer, not just dashboards.
/images/jeffrey-de-jong.jpgJeffrey founded NuraVolt after eight years running data and ML engineering inside utility-scale solar, BESS, and wind operations — most recently as an ML engineer at ENERPARC, one of Germany's largest utility-scale solar developers.
His double masters in Tax Law (University of Amsterdam) and Economics & Statistics (Utrecht University) put him in an unusual position for this industry: he reads regulatory text as fluently as he writes physics-informed ML pipelines. That combination is the reason NuraVolt ships with CSRD, EU AI Act, and EU Battery Regulation support out of the box while competitors are still treating compliance as a post-hoc document exercise.
Every model we ship comes with a model card — intended use, training data, accuracy metrics, known limitations, human oversight points. If we can't explain it, we don't ship it. This is also why the platform passes AI Act conformity out of the box.
CSRD ESRS E1 reporting, EU AI Act model cards, and EU Battery Regulation passport data feeds are built in — not bolted on. You should never have to hand-compile a regulator pack from a dashboard export.
Engagements start with a €1,000 Plant Performance Audit. You pay once, get a board-ready report, and only subscribe if the findings justify it. The audit fee credits back against your first platform month.
Most PV monitoring platforms were designed before EU climate regulation became real operational overhead — before CSRD E1, before the EU AI Act's "critical infrastructure management" classification, before the EU Battery Regulation passport. They bolt on compliance exports after the fact.
We built NuraVolt the other way round: regulatory requirements shape the data model, the ML documentation, and the audit trail from day one. The monitoring, fault detection, and forecasting features are how we earn the relationship — the compliance layer is why we keep it.
